We wanted to express some African art whilst learning about our classroom names-The body of water-Malawi and Victoria. We looked at the skill of pointillism to express this form of art. The children used the tips of spaghetti and cotton buds, dipped them into paint and tried to create patterns inspired by African art. We looked at animals and shapes. The children enjoyed using something different to create with, other than a paintbrush.
