When British Dodgeball announced they were running a primary schools' tournament, we jumped at the chance to show off our skills! With only two weeks of training in the bag but passion in our hearts, we set off to see how we faired.

Working together, using great communication and channelling our inner champions, we managed to sail through to the semi-finals. This was our toughest match, but we still managed to win 6-4. We then won the final with a fantastic score of 6-4.

It was a day we will never forget - especially as this means we are now off to Bristol in the summer for regionals!

Our Year 3 children have been completing an Opening Doors unit focussing on the poem 'Green Candles' by Humbert Wolfe. 

This week, Year 4 have focused on gathering information on plastic pollution in readiness for writing a newspaper report on the issue.

The children have looked at a range of different resources, as well as focusing on how to conduct interviews to get opinions on this issue.

Year 4 created their own interview questions on plastic pollution, ensuring that they are open ended, allowing the interviewee to give explanation to their answer. Using the questions they created, Year 4 interviewed Year 6 on plastic pollution to gather information on their opinions on the matter. b

Both Year 4 and Year 6 collaborated really well for this task and it was lovely to see the children working across year groups.

Year 3 had a very special visitor come into school this week to teach us all about the Jewish festival and Passover. The children learnt all about the story and the traditions surrounding it. It was a very exciting morning!

Ducklings and Tadpoles class enjoyed their trip to the Post Office to post their letters to Father Christmas!
